The 4th day in Paris was spent at Versailles, symbol of the decadence of the ancien regime.

This pic was taken by yours truly, of one of many geometric, towering sculptures…

My trip to the Storm King Art Center in New Windsor, NY was a breath of fresh air. The art consists of outdoor sculptures celebrating the relationship between art and nature over 500 acres of landscaped fields, rolling hills, meadow and woodlands. The sculptures are carefully placed in a visual fabric that includes the immediate and distant landscape… unlike a traditional garden. You’ll find it a post-World War II settings with international artists. Did you know that the history goes back to a formal garden outside a 1935 Normandy-style residence constructed from stone salvaged from a nearby mansion?
For the best views, there are little red circles that look like manholes interspersed throughout the fields/hills. You can stand on them and take a picture of the picturesque view, submit it to www.stormking.org/younme and maximize your experience and involvement!
